This month we’ve got big news on our progress with getting underreported animal stories on the global stage. A collective of We Animals photojournalists have been awarded Honorable Mentions in the Siena International Photo Awards 2023.

We are thrilled to announce that we have awarded two Animal Photojournalism Fellowships this year, one to Selene Magnolia and one to Havva Zorlu. Over the course of this year each will tell their own stories of animals farmed for food.

This week we’ve got big news on our progress with getting animal stories in the media. Jo-Anne McArthur has been awarded Highly Commended in Wildlife Photographer of the Year for her image, “Life and Death in Fur Farming”.
